Process Management Analyst - Cost Management & Execution

Primary Function:
The Analyst leads select functions which support the daily productivity and profitability of the Grainger product portfolio.
The role is responsible for consistent execution of departmental processes while ensuring their standardization, optimization, and continued review for improvement.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert for processes including, but not limited to:
- Product Cost Changes
- Supplier Funds Recovery
- Help develop and maintain cost management processes through cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
- Responsible for analyzing and interpreting moderately complex, less clearly defined issues.
- Execute and deliver on standard processes within defined service level agreements.
- Establish and regularly evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve.
Preferred Education and
Experience:
- BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in related field preferred.
- Customer and solution focused.
- Fact based and data driven decision-making.
- Critical thinker with ability to problem solve.
- Process improvement champion.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
- Ability to be a self-starter and take ownership.
- Able to prioritize and see tasks through to completion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude and intellectual curiosity.
This position can be based in Lake Forest or Chicago post pandemic
