Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst
Lake Forest, Illinois
In this crucial role, you will support New Product Development efforts by maintaining the costing model, Sales with daily pricing requests, and the centralized contract index adjustment initiative for the company Business Unit. Youll provide financial and costing information to our clients engineering manufacturing areas, and partner with other functional business areas in managing accurate and standard costing. Youll assist in the pricing approval process in PROS, and regularly gather information for requests for price (RFPs) or bids. Youll be proactive in the execution of actual budget and forecast processes, as well as the identification of potential business issues and opportunities.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance (an MBA is highly desired) and possess three to five years experience. Your background must emphasize cost accounting and financial modeling within the manufacturing industry. In addition to strong analytical skills, you should be adept at interacting with other operating units, departments and members of senior management. Youll be well versed in the use of Query Tools, SAP or HFM or Oracle or JD Edwards. Strong computer skills with significant expertise in Excel base modeling and analysis, along with exceptional business acumen will be expected.
