Position Description
This position supports the accurate accounting, analysis and reporting for areas within the tax provision process, goodwill accounting and accounting for business combinations. It interfaces with both finance and non-finance professionals across business functions and external to the organization.
- Responsible for accurate accounting, reporting and analysis of all Balance Sheet and Income Statement activity related to income taxes prepare quarterly effective tax rate analysis reconcile income tax payable accounts calculate current and deferred tax provision and perform reconciliation to filed tax returns
- Assist in the annual goodwill impairment process for selected business units work with GUS and the international finance teams to complete business valuations by utilizing the discounted cash flow model provide results, recommendations and insight to upper management, including business unit leaders

- Actively participate in the tax software implementation

- Conduct technical accounting research and document conclusions, as necessary
- Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests

Position Requirements
Required Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience

- Excellent analytical skills

- Agility and adherence to deadlines, especially during the monthly and quarterly close process is critical

- Strong inter-personal skills are critical as this position requires extensive interaction with individuals at various levels across the organization, including senior management and outside consultants

- Self-starter and able to work independently, solve problems, and achieve results while addressing multiple priorities

- Strong verbal and written communication

- Well organized and detail oriented
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Preferred:
CPA or seeking designation

rior experience in Big 4 public accounting or related experience in a large corporate accounting or finance environment
Experience with SAP a plus

Knowledge of ASC 740 a plus but not required

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
