The Winter Club Hockey program has been a staple for youth hockey in the Lake Forest community for the past 30 years.
Currently, the WC Hockey program has multiple teams at each youth level:
Mite, Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam.
Job Description:
Providing a supportive environment while teaching players the concepts of hockey but also learning team components.
Assist in tryouts providing feedback on players to the Hockey Director Communicate with parents regarding their child's behavior, attendance, progress, etc.
Provide written evaluations to players one time throughout the season Run efficient practices that keep players involved and attentive while learning individual skills and also game rules and concepts Assist the Hockey Director in pre-season clinics Counsel players individually to aid in individual improvement A WC Hockey coach is a seasonal position with employment starting August 20th and ending the 1st or 2nd week of March with the club hockey banquet.
Travel is required for away games and tournaments.
Tournament expenses are reimbursed to the coach, Mileage, daily per diem, and hotel costs.
WC hockey coaches are contract employees receiving 1099 income.
Salary is variable based on level and team coached.
Experience:
Knowledge of hockey and a youth playing background are required.
