If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Director, Marketing Hefty Waste and Storage to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
Your Role:
The Director, Marketing Hefty Waste and Storage is responsible for setting the strategic framework brand development and product pipeline development process for the Business Unit.
The Director will lead a functional team of marketers and cross-functional counterparts to deliver product commercialization across a range of branded and private label initiatives.
The Director, Marketing Hefty Waste and Storage will report into the Vice President of Marketing for the Business Unit.

You will have the opportunity to:
Lead strategic framework development and new product pipeline fill.
Lead insight gathering research into consumers, competitive category and retailers to secure knowledge that can be utilized to develop product opportunities.
Lead the development of the business case for product commercialization opportunities inclusive of pricing, competitive context, P&L evaluation and supply planning.
Develop brand equity, positioning and messaging working with insights, agency strategists and creatives.
Lead multichannel media initiatives including PR, internal and analyst communication, TV, radio, digital, online, programmatic buying and target audience buying direction.
Generate successive ROI improvement across all media initiatives and campaigns Develops strong working relationships with RD&E counterparts to facilitate product initiatives.
Engage and inspire marketing staff and cross-functional counterparts to deliver bigger, better and faster commercialization of branded and private label products into the marketplace.
Direct the hiring, training and development of the marketing team for the Business Unit.
Track business results and publish; keeping team aware of implications, risk and challenges related to product development.
Has oversight of the consumer insights budget for the Business Unit and collaborates with other Marketing Directors on overall consumer insights budget questions and challenges.
Evaluate and critique monthly, annual, and long term volume forecasts for product initiatives.

BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field.

years of related professional and progressive Marketing experience in the CPG industry.
3-5 years experience with market research and new product development.
Proficient in MS Office.
Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring cross functional teams, Marketing staff and outside vendors/agencies.
Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
Proficient in Nielsen and/or IRI data.
Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
Ability to travel (25%).
Icing on the cake:
MBA or other advanced degree required.
