Digital Engineering Leader at Trustmark in Lake Forest, IL
Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Digital Engineering Leader to lead our current and next generation growing Digital teams. We are looking to significantly change our Enterprise digital capabilities for enhanced customer and member experience. In this role, you will initially lead a small Digital Engineering team by provide engineering expertise, thought leadership while partnering with business areas and various cross functional teams to build out a new level experience for our members, customers, agents, employers, employees and brokers. You will have the ability to influence many aspects of the direction we take in front end engineering, so we're looking for someone who is energized by the idea of playing a key role in a truly transformative initiative. If you are a high energy digital leader, well versed in Digital technologies, have crafted and executed transformation strategies with good business and people management skills, prior experience in hands-on roles then this position is for you. We're looking for someone who has progressed in their career from being a Software Engineer to Architect to people management roles and has had success implementing transformative change in digital space. Ideally you have a passion for developing leading edge customer-centric applications, enjoy working in an Agile environment, and are passionate about attracting, engaging and motivating a team of Engineers. This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and the individual can sit anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of 60
applications and leadership of a small team of Engineers (25-30 FTE and onshore/offshore model). This position may oversee other leaders and people managers. Partner with Senior Leadership team and Enterprise Architecture to create an Enterprise digital strategy and execute on it within budget by using Agile Engineering principles. Leader responsible for implementing mobile technology strategy for all lines of business within Trustmark. Recruit, mentor, develop and retain talented engineers. Develop technology roadmap to enable continuous product releases for all Trustmark Digital Applications. Work with third party vendors to oversee execution and to manage delivery of transform, build and run activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline with 12
years of progressive experience from being an Engineer that built portals, websites, mobile apps and software products to Director level roles leading mid-sized engineering teams. Deep understanding of Product Engineering, product roadmaps with ability to design and demonstrate usage of digital technologies to improve customer experience. 3
years hands on experience as a Web Developer building high availability, high volume websites, portals and mobile apps with experience using technologies such as .Net, Java, Kentico, Kafka, Openshift, Angular, React, React Native etc. 3
years' experience in Agile transformation and/or leading Agile SCRUM teams. SaFE preferred. 7
years people management experience; leading experienced software engineers, building out high performing engineering teams with ability to attract, coach, mentor and retain talent.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
